1864 WALL STREET GOLD AND SILVER MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Dec. 15th, 1863. Wow... what an amazing discovery! EXTREMELY RARE Civil War era mining company stock certificate. Left side reads: Reese River District, Nevada Territory. Stock# 62, issued to company secretary Wm. Dudley for 10 shares worth $100 each. Only 900 shares were offered so there can't be too many of these still around. ONE FOOT TO A SHARE printed at top. Office at San Francisco, California. This would certainly be a highlight of any western mining collection!

1908 MANHATTAN JACKSON MINING COMPANY - Tonopah, Nevada - The mining camp and town of Manhattan were in Nye County, 50 miles north of Tonopah, NV. This western town was established in 1905. Many of the mines in the district were quite rich in milling ore and some contained pockets and veins of pure gold! According to the Manhattan, NV business directory from 1907 - 1908 the population was 2,000.

1906 THE VULCAN MINING, SMELTING AND REFINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1905) Under the Laws of the State of Wyoming - MINES IN NEVADA printed at top. Center vignette shows two early miners filling an ore cart in a tunnel by candlelight. Pickaxe and shovel to right and left. Office at Denver, Colorado. The mine was near Cherry Creek, Nevada in White Pine County - Hunter Mining District. This ornate stock certificate has an all-around "Old West" look to it. I rarely find 100+ year old stocks in such perfect condition - it was not even folded! Printed by The W. H. Kistler Stationary Co. Denver. Price - $89.00
190_ FAIRVIEW GOLDEN BOULDER MINING COMPANY - Mines at Fairview, Nevada - Vignette shows a "Golden Boulder" in shiny-gold ink. George Wingfield was the president of the Golden Boulder. The claims were located in 1906 and a rich strike made in 1907. Unissued.

1906 NEVADA PRINCE GOLD MINING COMPANY - Incorporated June 26th, 1906 Under the Laws of South Dakota - Company name printed in green, which is kind of unusual on an orange stock certificate. Corporate seal punched clearly into the lower-left. From the bits and pieces of information I could find online, I am confident this gold mine was in Nevada... but I'm not sure exactly where in Nevada. Issued to C. S. Burgess for 1,000 shares. Signed by Fred J. Chaney as secretary and the presidents' signature appears to be Bert Chaney. Price - $79.00
1915 LA ZACUALPA HIDALGO RUBBER COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of Nevada, August 24th, 1914 - Issued to Jas A. Curran and signed by John A. Bishop as secretary. Four red United States Internal Revenue stamps are affixed to the lower-left. PRINCIPAL OFFICE: Nixon Building, Northeast Corner Front and Virginia Streets, City of Reno, County of Washoe, State of Nevada (printed on reverse). RESIDENT AGENT: Albert D. Ayres or W. M. Gardiner. 1910 ELY CONSOLIDATED COPPER COMPANY - Mines at Ely, Nevada - White Pine County - Incorporated 1906 in Utah. S.M. Levy, president and Gideon Snyder, secretary. Owned 3 groups of claims in the Ely Mining District. One of the mine shafts known as the Brilliant Shaft produced silver-lead ore at the upper levels and copper ore at the bottom. Price - $49.00
1916 ELY WITCH COPPER COMPANY - Ely, Nevada - White Pine County - Incorporated 1906 in Maine. The ore assaying up to 25% copper and 2 ounces of silver per ton, with traces of gold. 100 share certificate issued to Meyer Morris. Price - $55.00
1910 RAWHIDE COALITION MINES COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1907) Under the Laws of Nevada - Worked 11 gold claims and fractions totaling about 160 acres. MINES AT RAWHIDE, REGENT MINING DISTRICT, ESMERALDA COUNTY, NEVADA (printed on bottom border).

1910 NEVADA ANACONDA MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of Utah - Certificate issued to company president, W. M. Anderson for 1,000 shares. PROMOTION STOCK stamped in bold across right side. Excellent picture shows an early miner holding a pickax. This mine was located at Winnemucca, Nevada. Price - $75.00
1903 PACTOLUS MINING & MILLING COMPANY - Incorporated in Utah - "Mines, Nye Co., Nevada", printed beneath title. Issued to the well-known Utah banker, W. S. McCornick (his actual signature is on the reverse). Price - $49.00
1907 THE TALMAGE GOLD MINES COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1905) Under the Laws of the State of Wyoming - This mine was located in the Goldfield Mining District, Nevada. The ore contained gold, silver and lead. The picture is a copy of an actual photograph, showing a very young, May Talmage Hays (printed in the photo). From what I could gather, the Hays family played an important part in the history of Goldfield, Nevada, however, I was unable to locate anything more specific. Feel free to contact me if you have some information to offer. The certificate is signed by C. W. Hays as president and J. R. Young as secretary. The main office was a Goldfield. Quite Rare - I have only seen a few examples from this company over the years. Price - $295
1909 THE RAWHIDE GOLD KING MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the Territory of Arizona - This was a Rawhide, Nevada gold mine. Owned 90 acres, including the following mining claims: Blondine, Washington, Shamrock, Gladstone and Wisconsin F, all at Rawhide. A nice little picture shows a snow-capped mountain peak and pine trees in the foreground. Signed by Henry C. Merrick as president. Office at Denver, Colorado. Price - $150
1905 THE BUCKSKIN GOLD MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of South Dakota - I did a lot of research on this one and the only thing I can say for sure is that the mines were in Nevada. The Buckskin GMC was owned by the Brewer Mining, Leasing and Investment company of Nevada. You will notice that the certificate was signed by William J. Brewer as president. There was a Buckskin Mine in both Douglas and Humboldt county Nevada. There is a NV ghost town named Buckskin and a Buckskin Mountain and Buckskin Mining District so you can understand my confusion while researching. Three very-detailed vignettes show early placer gold mining. Two uncommon New York stock transfer stamps are affixed to the upper-right corner. Price - $195
1908 THE SEARCHLIGHT QUINTETTE GOLD MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the Territory of Arizona - This company worked four gold and silver claims in the Searchlight Mining District of Nevada - Lincoln County. Samuel R. House president and G. W. Palmer, secretary. Certificate issued to John E. Shafer for 200 shares. Office located in the Railway Exchange Building, Denver, Colorado. Printed by The W. H. Kistler Co. Denver. Vignette shows a group of miners in a shaft and men above hoisting ore to the surface in a wooden bucket. Also notice the flowers to the left of the title.

1909 RAWHIDE BALLOON FRACTION MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Feb. 11th, 1908 Under the Laws of Nevada - Principal Office, Room 2 Masonic Temple, Reno Nevada. Bright, shiny-gold corporate seal. Issued to Edward O' Brien for 500 shares. Signed by W. W. Breite as company secretary and L. E. Lee, president.

Location of Mines, Fairview Mining District, Nevada - Principal Place of Business, Goldfield, Nevada. A pleasant little vignette shows the sun rising over a peaceful mountain stream. 1904 GOLDFIELD BONANZA MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1904) Under the Laws of the United States Congress for the District of Columbia - This method of incorporation is very unusual for a western mine - first time I have seen it! Mines in Goldfield Mining District, Nevada (printed beneath title). Stock certificate issued to Alfred Stretz for 1,000 shares. Signed by R. E. Rogers as secretary. Office at Salt Lake City, Utah. 1860s MILLS POST AND WHITE CONSOLIDATED SILVER MINING COMPANY - Incorporated May 27th, 1863 Under the Laws of Nevada Territory - Uncut sheet of two stock certificates. Reese River Mining District, Lander County, N. T. This early western mine offered 2,400 shares of stock valued at $250 each - a lot of money in the 1860s! Office at Austin, N. T. 1907 SOUTH COMSTOCKS CONSOLIDATED MINES COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1906) Under the Laws of Arizona - Mine located in Lyon County, Nevada. Vignette shows a prospector walking through rugged mountains. Signed by W. J. Smith as secretary. Office at Phoenix, Arizona. Printed by the Republic Bank Note Company. Price - $85.00
1908 THE JUNE WONDER MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1906) Under the Laws of the State of Colorado - Very ornate certificate issued to Alfred Straits for 500 shares. Located in the Wonder Mining District of Nevada. The town of Wonder, Nevada is now a ghost town. Churchill County. Oval vignette shows what I believe is an early view of Wonder. Also notice the rays of sun shining through the clouds on the left side. Office at Denver, Colorado. Most notable is that it was hand-signed by (Judge) E. A. Colburn as company president. He made his fortune as a mine owner in Cripple Creek, Colorado and is one of the best known men in the Colorado mining industry. Price - $195
1912 RAWHIDE FREE GOLD MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1908) Under the Laws of the State of Nevada - Stock certificate issued to H. A. Schroeder for 450 shares. Mine located 10 miles from Rawhide, Nevada in Churchill County. Worked the Queen Bethania and Crystal Queen claims. Utopia Mining District. Signed by J. A. Ritchie as vice president. 1919 SATURN MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1917) Under the Laws of Nevada - Stock certificate issued to Arthur L. Root for 1,000 shares. Bright, shiny-gold corporate seal. Although I found little specific information about the company, I did find a reference that listed the place of business at Carson City, Nevada. Uncommon vignette on left side shows three miners inspecting a rock ledge. Signed by Chas. W. Higgins as treasurer and George B. Wright, president. Price - $75.00
1932 ALADDIN GOLD MINING COMPANY, LTD. - Incorporated Under the Laws of Nevada, May 27th, 1919 - Stock certificate issued to M. Grotyohn for 1,000 shares worth 10 cents each.
