In the early 1900s, this was the only farm-owned rail company in America. H. S. Rattenborg was the main promoter and general manager. The route ran from Atlantic to Kimballton, Iowa with a number of stops in between. The rail line was started to transport livestock and grain as well as passengers. Signed by James Stier as secretary and J. W. Cuykendall, company president.
