company name until I found a reference in my research that mentioned a
river in Wyoming called the No Wood River. Large, unique vignette shows

1908 THE PORTLAND COPPER MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of Colorado - Mine office: Rambler, Carbon County, Wyoming. Battle Lake Mining District. Stock certificate issued to company general manager, W. C. Ledbetter for 1,000 shares. Signed by J. C. Helm as secretary and P. S. Delaney, president. Ore from the Portland Mine produced copper and gold. Also had an office at Denver, Colorado. Price - $80.00

THE CLEVELAND OIL, GAS AND COAL COMPANY -Incorporated Under the Laws of
the State of Wyoming - Contains a purple, 5 cent revenue stamp dated
1898. The picture shows an early oil field with many wells dotting the
landscape. You can also see a steam locomotive pulling oil tanker cars.
Shares were valued at one cent each. Office at Denver, Colorado.
THE TWO TEN OIL COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of
Wyoming - This company had just $15,000 in working capital. Shares
could be purchased for one cent each... so this 100 share certificate
was worth $1 in 1902. Office at Cheyenne, Wyoming. Price - $62.00
1919 SOUTHWEST OIL COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of Wyoming - Issued to Lewis J. Harris. Signed by W. W. Avery as company president. Price - $44.00

RARE and spectacular stock certificate. I have only seen a few of these over the years.
The main office for the Echo Copper Company was at Chicago, Illinois but also had a mine office at Rudefeha, Carbon County, Wyoming. The company had 4 claims on 80 acres, adjoining the Ferris-Haggarty Mine. Signed by W. R. Stiles as secretary.

The certificate is large and the right a left borders did not fit entirely on my scanner - it is complete.
