Owned 4 claims, 8 miles northwest of Platina, Yellow Pine District, Clark County.  Worked a vein in limestone, containing zinc-silver ore. The company also had a number of mining claims in Inyo County, California, in the Cerro Gordo Mining District. Signed by F. M. Berry as secretary and F. W. Cole as president.   Price - $60.00

1907 THE TALMAGE GOLD MINES COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1905) Under the Laws of the State of Wyoming - This mine was located in the Goldfield Mining District, Nevada. The ore contained gold, silver and lead. The picture is a copy of an actual photograph, showing a very young, May Talmage Hays (printed in the photo). From what I could gather, the Hays family played an important part in the history of Goldfield, Nevada, however, I was unable to locate anything more specific. Feel free to contact me if you have some information to offer. The certificate is signed by C. W. Hays as president and J. R. Young as secretary. The main office was a Goldfield. Quite Rare - I have only seen a few examples from this company over the years.   Price - $295

Produced gold & silver. Signed by Jesse W. Fox as secretary and M. F. Cowley as vice president. Main Office at Salt Lake City, UT. Early stock# 13.          SOLD
1908 MANHATTAN JACKSON MINING COMPANY - Tonopah, Nevada - The mining camp and town of Manhattan were in Nye County, 50 miles north of Tonopah, NV. This western town was established in 1905. Many of the mines in the district were quite rich in milling ore and some contained pockets and veins of pure gold!  According to the Manhattan, NV business directory from 1907 - 1908 the population was 2,000.    Price - $60.00

Center vignette shows two early miners filling an ore cart in a tunnel by candlelight. Pickaxe and shovel to right and left. Office at Denver, Colorado. The mine was near Cherry Creek, Nevada in White Pine County - Hunter Mining District. This ornate stock certificate has an all-around "Old West" look to it. I rarely find 100+ year old stocks in such perfect condition - it was not even folded! Printed by The W. H. Kistler Stationary Co. Denver.   Price - $89.00
1907 VULTURE MINING COMPANY - From the ghost town of Wonder, Nevada. Churchill County. The Vulture Mine was located on the east side of Hercules Canyon at the mouth of Jackpot Gulch. The quartz veins produced silver ore in the form of silver chloride and horn (native) silver and a small amount of gold. Notice the Vultures perched in all four corners of the certificate. Also notable is that the reverse is decorated with an assortment of $10 and $20 gold coins from the 1880s. It is so rare to find stock certificates showing early currency (click on image to see reverse). Signed by Henry Weber as company president. Printed by the Clark Engraving & Printing Co., Milwaukee, Wis. I have not seen this printer before.   *** Scarce western document.    Price - $275
 
1878 THE BALDY SOUR MINING COMPANY - Of Treasure Hill, Nevada - White Pine Mining District - Issued to company president, Eugene N. Robinson. Oliver S. Dawson secretary. One of the mine shafts on the property was called the Dawson Shaft. To the south of the Baldy Sour was the Nonpareil Mine and to the east the Sweetwater Mine - also bordered by the Moscow Mine. All were reported to be good paying mines.  Extremely rare and attractive certificate!   Price - $350

190_ FAIRVIEW GOLDEN BOULDER MINING COMPANY - Mines at Fairview, Nevada - Vignette shows a "Golden Boulder" in shiny-gold ink. George Wingfield was the president of the Golden Boulder. The claims were located in 1906 and a rich strike made in 1907. Unissued

1907 RELIANCE MINING AND MILLING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1905) Under the Laws of Utah - Mines Located in Lander County, Nevada printed on right side. Rich ore was discovered in the summer of 1906 and the townsite of Tenabo, Nevada sprang up shortly after in Mill Gulch. By 1907 the population of Tenabo was around 1,000. Tenabo is listed as a ghost town by apparently there are a still a few miners living in the townsite. Certificate #48 issued to Thomas Taylor and signed by Hyrum Tyree as company president. Vignette shows the sun rising over a peaceful-looking mountain stream. Shiny-gold corporate seal. Produced silver, gold and copper.   Price - $195   

1910 ELY CONSOLIDATED COPPER COMPANY - Mines at Ely, Nevada - White Pine County - Incorporated 1906 in Utah. S.M. Levy, president and Gideon Snyder, secretary. Owned 3 groups of claims in the Ely Mining District. One of the mine shafts known as the Brilliant Shaft produced silver-lead ore at the upper levels and copper ore at the bottom.   Price - $62.00    
1916 ELY WITCH COPPER COMPANY - Ely, Nevada - White Pine County - Incorporated 1906 in Maine. The ore assaying up to 25% copper and 2 ounces of silver per ton, with traces of gold.

1908 EUREKA SEARCHLIGHT MINING AND MILLING COMPANY - Incorporated (Feb. 20th, 1908) Under the Laws of the State of Nevada - Stock #24 - Issued just over a week after incorporation, on March 2nd, 1908. Very scarce certificate. Photograph in upper-left shows three men standing beside an unusual rock formation somewhere in the desert. This gold mine was located 15 miles south of Searchlight, Nevada, at Camp Thurman. There was a two foot ledge showing a pay streak of gold 10 inches wide in granite. Signed by Oliver G. Ross as secretary and John T. Nagle as company president.   SOLD
