Large red drawing in the background shows the Bank of England and an early miner swinging a pickax. "BACK OF THE BANK IS THE MAN WITH THE PICK" printed beneath. Sources tell me the Crazy Basin discovery was made by A. D. Schultz, a Colorado miner, who townsited the town of Alma, Arizona - named after the principal claim, Alma. Ditwars. The company also had ties to England so both Dollars and Sterling are printed on the certificate. Unique vignette shows ore arriving at the mill on horse-drawn carts. The following is an excerpt I found about the operation: "The properties of the Arizona Copper Syndicate are contiguous to those of the Arizona and Detroit Copper companies, lying east of the famous Longfellow Mine, and south of the Metcalf group. They comprise eight claims, named respectively the Outlet, Deep Down, Copper Centre, True Centre, Bon Ton, Great Centre, Fiqure Seven and Lucky Number: each 1500 x 600 feet, or over 165 acres of surface area. The claims are situated close to the thriving town of Clifton, the terminus of the Arizona and New Mexico Railroad, so that materials and machinery can be brought in at the lowest expense."
